So that's it. As I write this there are only a few hours left of 2016. Already writing the date, 2016, feels dated, old, so last year. I'm not in a rush to start 2017. I rather enjoy these days between Christmas and new year when I can relax, lie on the carpet with the fire warming my face, the dog next to me, notebook and pen in hand. But I do like the feeling of starting afresh. Making goals, do-able goals, for my writing and career, working out what I actually want to achieve over the next few months.
My over-riding goal is to concentrate on my health. Yes, eating healthier, moving more, but also making sure my life is balanced. Because, guess what, if you are sitting at your desk for hours and days at a time, no matter how much you love the work, you're going to burn out. This will hurt you mentally and physically.
So my goals include not taking on too much work. To prioritise and focus on just a few projects.
I'll write more about my goals in the next week or so but this does mean I'll no longer be editing Novelicious. I'm also putting my novel on the back-burner as well as a few other smaller projects.
So, here's to health and happiness in 2017. Happy New Year everyone - I'll see you all on the other side.
