Christmas Day isn’t the same without a Christmas Pudding doused in alcohol and set alight with a blue flame. Even though we often are too full to eat it until hours after dinner has finished.
My mum gave me this recipe for Christmas Pudding and I’ve been using it since I made Christmas Dinner. This is an easy, step-by-step Christmas pudding recipe. Traditional for after Christmas dinner. Serve with brandy butter, cream or custard.

Makes two Christmas Puddings in 2 x 15cm pudding bowl
Ingredients
475g raisins
350g sultanas
350g currants
50g chopped nuts
50g plain flour
3tsp mixed spice
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
225g dark brown soft sugar
115g suet
225g fresh breadcrumbs
4 eggs
140ml stout
